About the Shopping Cart

The Portal Shopping Cart enables you to order multiple Services (including multiple quantities of the same Service) at the one time.

The Services that you can order via the Shopping Cart are the same Services within the Service Catalog. The Shopping Cart is different to the Service Catalog, in that you can not only order multiple Services at a time, but multiple quantities of the same Service. This is useful for example, when ordering Services for a new employee – you can request for Services such as Email, Desktop Applications, etc. via the one Shopping Cart order.

Within Infra, Services have already been linked to workflows. This means that when you order Services via the Shopping Cart, Infra has already been configured to execute the appropriate request(s) that will be used to deliver your Service. With the Shopping Cart, you only have to complete and submit your order of Services to Infra; the appropriate request(s) will be logged to ensure appropriate Service Delivery.

Through the Customer Portal, you can perform the following functions on the Shopping Cart:

·         Perform a Shopping Cart Search

·         View Shopping Cart Search Results

·         View Service Details

·         Order Services via the Shopping Cart

·         Complete a Shopping Cart Order

·         Review Shopping Cart Orders
